Why?

Why this?

Most of us don’t have an information problem. We have a seeing and doing problem.

We can be surrounded by opportunities we don’t recognise. We can look at the same situation as someone else and see something completely different. And we can understand exactly what needs to change, yet still struggle to make it happen.

I became interested in the space between those things: what we see, what we understand, and what we actually do.

That interest eventually became two distinct bodies of work.

Why IAOU?

Because you can’t act on what you can’t see.

IAOU: The Perception Arc explores how we see.

Across four books, it follows a progression through Interest, Attention, Observation and Understanding, examining the different forces that shape what becomes visible to us in the first place.

Why do some opportunities remain invisible until we change where we stand? Why can two people look at exactly the same thing and see something entirely different? What happens when we recognise something before anyone else does? And how does what we come to understand ultimately change who we become?

IAOU isn’t about telling you what to see. It is about becoming more aware of how you see, and what might become possible when that changes.

Choose IAOU if you want to see differently.

Why RTC?

Because seeing clearly isn’t enough.

The RTC Framework explores what happens when understanding needs to become action.

Across Reframe, Transfer and Commit, it examines three different challenges: seeing the problem differently, moving understanding beyond the person who first sees it, and turning decisions into meaningful action.

Because organisations rarely struggle from a complete absence of ideas. More often, the wrong problem is being solved, understanding remains trapped between people or teams, or a decision is made without ever becoming something that actually happens.

RTC is designed for that gap between knowing and doing.

Choose RTC if you need to do differently.

Why Both?

IAOU and RTC were never designed as two halves of the same product. They emerged from different questions, for different purposes.

But they meet at an important point.

IAOU explores what happens before understanding: what captures our interest, directs our attention, shapes our observation and ultimately changes what we understand.

RTC explores what happens after understanding: how we reframe what we’re dealing with, transfer that understanding to others and commit to doing something about it.

One is about perception. The other is about execution.

What we see shapes what becomes possible. What we do determines what happens next.
